Senator Udall (D-NM) introduced the Renewable Electricity Standard Act of 2019 (S.1974), which would increase the U.S. supply of renewable energy from 18% now to at least 50% by 2035. Ask your senator to co-sponsor this bill!

Make Your Travel More Climate Friendly!

5 ways to reduce your travel impacts:

  1. Consider buses or trains for trips under 500 miles 
  2. Avoid SUVs and flying first class
  3. For 1 or 2 travelers, nonstop economy flights beat driving an average car 
  4. For car trips, drive or rent he most efficient car possible
  5. Purchase carbon offsets for the rest

Help Save Forests by Switching to Recycled Paper Products!

Preserving the world’s forests is a critical element in the fight against climate change. According to NRDC, the Canadian boreal forest is under severe threat from logging, and being used for paper products sold in the U.S. Switch to Green Forest, Natural Value, Seventh Generation, or other recycled brands.

Ask Your Members of Congress to Support and Pass the EICDA (H.R. 763)

April 2019

The Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act of 2019 is projected to reduce America’s emissions while helping middle- and low-income families. It would place a steadily rising fee on carbon emissions and return the money as carbon dividends in equal shares to households. It currently has 59 co-sponsors in the House, more than any carbon pricing bill has ever had. Please urge your Members of Congress to pass this bill!
